Senior Product Manager Review
What I liked
Working at Exotel gives strong exposure to cloud telephony products and customer workflows. Small, cross-functional teams mean you get ownership of features end-to-end. Managers are supportive and there are good learning opportunities — regular knowledge shares and access to product/customer data. Hybrid policy helps with work-life balance and the startup pace keeps work interesting.
Areas for improvement
Compensation is below market for product roles and increments can be slow. Sometimes priorities shift quickly and you end up in long sprints before launches. Career paths and promotion criteria could be clearer — felt a bit ad-hoc at times.
