Senior Actuarial Analyst Review

ActuarialFull-timeHybrid
Aug 12, 2025

What I liked

Strong mentorship from senior actuaries, excellent benefits, and real focus on work-life balance. Pacific Life invests in training and has clear actuarial study support. Leadership is approachable and open to ideas.

Areas for improvement

Processes can be a bit bureaucratic at times and there are occasional long hours during busy season or product renewals.

TechnologyFull-timeRemote

What I liked

Good remote flexibility and collaborative teams. We use modern tools and there are opportunities to work on meaningful insurance tech projects. Benefits and PTO are solid.

Areas for improvement

Promotion cadence is slower than startups and sometimes compensation feels slightly behind market for senior tech roles.

Customer Service Representative Review

Client ServicesFull-timeOn-site
Feb 15, 2025

What I liked

Stable employer with decent healthcare and retirement benefits. Coworkers were friendly and training was structured. Good experience learning the basics of life insurance operations at Pacific Life.

Areas for improvement

Front-line pay is below expectations for cost of living. There are strict procedures and limited upward mobility at the local level; can feel like a routine job after a few years.
